Ducati Multistrada 1260 Seat Height Adjustment

Ducati did an interesting thing when it came to the seat height adjustment on the modern big V twin Multistradas: it made the seat height adjustable. While this is inherently, a good thing, some owners may find themselves in a situation where they acquire the bike and it did not come with the height adjustment parts. This is a quick guide to help right that wrong.

In order to adjust the riders seat height, 9 parts are required: 2 plastic trim pieces for the sides, 1 plastic insert piece for the front, 2 longer screws and 4 shorter screws (as seen here)

Here are the required part numbers and quantities:

Here is what the parts look like IRL:

The nine parts you need to increase the seat height.

Installation is very much straightforward. The side pieces go on the sides and the insert goes at the front (this is the part that will lock the front of the seat in place when you mount it to the bike). The 2 longer screws go at the front and the four shorter screws go in the back.

Also note that the small plastic fairing underneath the passenger’s seat should be removed when mounting the higher rider’s seat.

The finished product.

Hope this guide was helpful and ride safe.
